KAUP was founded in 1962 by Otmar Kaup who is
still President of the company. Today KAUP is the leading European
manufacturer of forklift truck attachments and produces 33.000
units annually with 500 employees at a turnover of 42 Mio US $.
It is KAUP policy to market their products exclusively through producers
and distributors of forklift trucks who distribute KAUP attachments
together with their equipment. KAUP does not sell to end-users. This means that the truck distributor is actually
also a KAUP distributor.
Some markets require a so called KAUP representative due to the number
of truck manufacturers & distributors present in the area,
time differences, language barriers etc. In general the duties
of such a representative would be:Advising and support
of all forklift truck manufacturers / distributors in technical
clarification for new attachments in order to find optimum material
handling solutions, especially in projects for user specified
tasks.
Import and stock of standard attachments and spare parts.Support
and advising forklift truck organisations in regard to all after
sales service questions.
